Michelle in a Minute

’Moving from the big smoke

gave me the opportunity to pursue my passion for Art. I had left Art behind decades ago and at 50 decided it was time to see 'if I still had it'... I had studied Art at High School, but I'd never dared to pursue it as a career, until I did! I studied Art Therapy in 2019 and was encouraged to pick up a paint brush and it changed my life!

Living on the NSW South Coast, I wake up to the sound of our Kookaburra's laughing, squawking Cockatoos and the Magpies warbling and this has inspired me to paint their vibrancy and I hope I capture that in my Art. Attraction to birds was found when I discovered the quirky artwork by Vanessa Perske and it ignited a fire within.

I also enjoy the unfolding journey that Mixed Media Art brings with it's many options, as it allows me to let go and discover what is destined to blossom onto the canvas.

When I'm not painting I am encouraging others to get in touch with their own creativity by also picking up a paint brush, get their hands in the paint and enjoy an Expressive Art Experience (or two)...

Thanks to my art journey, I have been able to find my true essence and help others do the same.

A bit more about me:

- I've spent 20+ years as a graphic designer, creating and supporting small business.

- Hosted community based women's networking group for years.

- Experienced years as a Funeral Director.

- I have self published and contributed to a few books.

- Achieved qualifications in Art Therapy, Life Coaching and Graphic Design, and proudly call myself a self-taught artist since 2019!

- I'm a very proud mum of two young adults, together we enjoy life, we love walking on the beach with our dogs, my hubby, enjoy a good card game and a cuppa tea anytime of the day.

- I have enjoyed all that these experiences that have brought my life to where I am today and am extremely grateful as they remind me to make everyday as rewarding as possible.
